Bananatex®

The world's first fabric made entirely from naturally grown Abacá banana plant fibers. This material is notable for its durability, water-resistance, and technical qualities – all of which are achieved without the use of any synthetic chemicals or additives.

Use Cases: Used in the production of a variety of items including travel bags, backpacks, totes, and apparel such as rain jackets, and tee shirts.

Good to Know: Unlike many bio-based textiles, Bananatex® is truly biodegradable. It has been recognized with several international awards for sustainability and design, and it is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold, affirming its status as a safe, circular, and responsibly made material.
